Spring update from The Croydon Project.

The Croydon Project shop fronts

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Spring 2026 consultation which ran from 12 March to 23 April 2026. We are grateful to everyone who came along to speak to us about our updated designs or shared their feedback online.

We spoke with approximately 300 people in-person through a wide range of engagement activities across the borough, including:

  • A preview session for councillors and community groups
  • Six pop-ups across the borough, including North End, New Addington Market, Norwood High Street, Norwood Junction Station, Surrey Street Market and Legacy BabyZone
  • Three youth-focussed pop-ups to engage young people from across the borough at The BRIT School, Croydon College and Legacy Youth Zone

What we heard

Over the course of the consultation, we received 470 feedback surveys in-person and online. The survey results reported that 85% of respondents support our vision for The Croydon Project.

We are now reviewing all the feedback received and using it to help shape the next stage of the designs.

Continuing our work with the NextGen Panel

We also hosted a dedicated NextGen Panel session to continue our work with young people from across the borough. The panel remains an important part of the project’s wider engagement programme, helping to ensure that young people continue to shape the future of the town centre. Their feedback helps the project team better understand young people’s views, lived experience and ideas.

    Want to get involved?

If you are 16-25 and interested in joining the NextGen Panel, please reach out to us on info@TheCroydonProject.co.uk. We are planning our next session for the summer and would love to have as many young people talking about the future of Croydon as possible!

      What happens next

Although this consultation window has now closed, the conversation does not stop here. We are always happy to hear from people as the plans develop so feel free to keep sharing your thoughts with us.

You can still view the Spring 2026 consultation materials on the Consultation tab. If you have any further feedback, ideas or questions, you can get in touch at info@TheCroydonProject.co.uk or via the details on the Contact tab.

We are now reviewing all the feedback received during the latest round of consultation and using it to help shape the next stage of the designs. Once The Croydon Project masterplan is more developed, we will launch our next phase of consultation where we will share more detailed proposals and explain how community feedback has helped influence the plans.
