Costa Del Croydon Returns with Rooftop Beach Fun This August

Croydon’s favourite urban beach is back this summer, as Costa Del Croydon returns to Centrale’s rooftop from 7 to 31 August.

Now in its third year, the free summer experience will once again transform Centrale’s multi-storey rooftop into a lively seaside escape in the heart of the town centre. Following two successful summers, which attracted more than 55,000 visitors, Costa Del Croydon returns for 2026 with an expanded programme, family activities and a new adults-only evening offer.

By day, visitors can enjoy returning favourites including the splash zone, mini go-karts, trampolines, chill-out areas, interactive games, workshops and classic seaside activities such as hook-a-duck. A rotating line-up of independent food and drink vendors will also bring street food, treats, international flavours and refreshing summer drinks to the rooftop.

New for 2026 is The Beach Club, an adults-only Thursday evening series running from 5pm to 8pm. Inspired by South London music, culture and nightlife, the programme will feature themed nights including DJ sets, drag-hosted lip sync battles, dancehall acts, sip and paint sessions, music bingo, street food and live entertainment.

Centrale & Whitgift will also be working with Croydon Voluntary Action to create opportunities for local groups to showcase their talents across August.

As The Croydon Project looks ahead to the future of North End, Whitgift, Centrale and Allders, Costa Del Croydon is another example of how the town centre can host memorable experiences, support local creativity and give residents new reasons to visit and enjoy Croydon.
