Helping shape Croydon through the NextGen Panel

Growing up in Croydon has given me a real understanding of both its strengths and its challenges. The borough is often criticised for its safety, lack of things to do, and limited job opportunities for young people. While these are genuine issues, I don’t think they define what Croydon can become.

That’s why I was excited to join the NextGen Panel. It’s an opportunity for young people to have a voice in shaping the future of our borough and to help turn ideas into real change.

For me, the biggest priorities are making Croydon feel safer, creating more activities and spaces for young people, and improving access to jobs and career opportunities. These changes wouldn’t just improve people’s day-to-day lives; they would help change the way Croydon is viewed by both residents and visitors.

Croydon has so much potential. It’s diverse, full of talented people, and has all the foundations to become an even better place to live. I’m looking forward to being part of the NextGen Panel and helping make that vision a reality.
