Applications open for the 2026 Croydon Community Grant Fund

Applications are now open for the 2026 Croydon Community Grant Fund, with £15,000 available to help grassroots organisations deliver projects supporting communities across the borough.

Run by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in partnership with Croydon Voluntary Action, the Fund will provide approximately 15 grants of up to £1,000 for new and existing community projects.

This year, the programme is particularly looking to support initiatives focused on:

  • Youth engagement
  • Homelessness and people living in temporary accommodation
  • Improving safety and security, particularly for women and girls

The grants can be used for practical project costs, including equipment, events, venue hire and programme delivery.

Croydon’s grassroots organisations play an important role in supporting residents, creating opportunities and responding to local needs. The Community Grant Fund is designed to give these groups the resources to develop new ideas, strengthen existing activities and reach more people across the borough.

Helping local projects grow

Successful applicants will also be able to access practical support from URW teams, with guidance available across areas including marketing, finance, legal, and health and safety.

The programme is part of a longer-term approach to community investment. Organisations funded through the 2026 round will have the opportunity to apply for additional funding of up to £5,000 in 2027, helping successful projects build on their work and expand their impact.

Previous rounds of the Fund have supported a wide range of local activity, including community gardens, youth sport, carers’ cafés, family cooking sessions and projects for children with special educational needs. In 2025, funded projects engaged more than 500 residents and recruited over 20 new volunteers.

How to apply

Applications open on 13 July 2026 and close on 17 August 2026.

Successful applicants will be notified on 7 September, with funded projects beginning from 14 September.
